Acute Angles

Acute angles are angles whose measure are greater than zero and less than 90 degrees.
Right Angles

Right angles are angles whose measure is exactly 90 degrees.
Obtuse Angles

Obtuse angles are angles whose measure is greater than 90 degrees, but less than 180 degrees.
Straight Angles

Straight angles are angles that form a straight line. Their measure is always exactly 180 degrees.
Angle Pairs
All angles can be added together to form new angles. There are two special types of angle pairs that when added together create specific types of angles.
Complimentary Angles

Complimentary angles are 2 angles whose measures add up to 90 degrees or a right angle. In the example to the left, the blue angle and the red angle add up to a 90 degree angle.
Supplementary Angles

Supplementary angles are 2 angles whose measure add up to 180 degree or a straight line. In the example to the left, the blue angle (an obtuse angle) and the red angle (an acute angle) add up to make a straight line measureing 180 degrees.
